Waffle Chicken Sandwich Recipe

This waffle chicken sandwich is an interesting take on a classic sandwich. The crispy waffles, melted cheese, and honey mustard sauce complement the juicy chicken breast and peppery arugula perfectly.

Ingredients

• 2 slices of cheddar cheese
• 1 tbsp honey mustard
• 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
• 2 frozen waffles
• 2 cooked chicken breast slices
• 1/4 cup baby arugula

Time Needed

• Prep Time: 10 minutes
• Cook Time: 5 minutes
• Total Time: 15 minutes

Instructions

• Cook the frozen waffles until golden brown in a waffle iron.
• Combine the mayonnaise and honey mustard in a small mixing bowl.
• Top each waffle with a slice of cheddar cheese and a slice of cooked chicken breast.
• On top of the chicken, spread the honey mustard and mayonnaise mixture.
• Top the sauce with a handful of baby arugula.
• To make a sandwich, place the other waffle on top of the arugula.
• Return the sandwich to the waffle iron and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the chicken is heated through.
• Remove from the waffle maker and serve warm.
